ABOUT THE MILLENNIUM FELLOWSHIP - CLASS OF 2018
United Nations Academic Impact and MCN are proud to partner on the Millennium Fellowship. In the three months the application was open in 2018, students applied to join the Class of 2018 on 285 campuses across 57 nations. 30 campuses worldwide (just 11%) were selected to host the 530 Millennium Fellows in the global pilot this year.
The Class of 2018 is bold, innovative, and inclusive. Millennium Fellows' Projects are projected to positively impact the lives of over 310,000 people worldwide this year.
“I went to Saint Joseph High school where we as young women were encouraged to be all of which woman in capable of. I found that we as a young generation have a platform to do so much for our community. Getting involved within the community has a great impact, that being one of the many reason I am excited to get involved and be apart of this Fellowship. It's great to be apart of something where others are as eager to make a great change as I am.”
Millennium Fellowship Project
The Food Pantry to alleviate food insecurity project serves the purpose of reducing hunger. The project’s team aims to help college students battle the struggle of obtaining fresh nutritious food right on campus with a food pantry that will be stocked with grab and go foods at no additional cost. They are working on putting up a food pantry on their campus so that fellow students at Becker College are provided food at no cost to obtain a healthy life style and succeed in their studies.
