" I am excited to be a Millennium Fellow because as an aspiring Behavior Analyst, I understand the impact we can make with giving individuals the tools to succeed. My mission is to break boundaries and provide equal education to the children of our future. "
Millennium Fellowship Project: We are the Future
I have chose a school with an academy that focuses on children with Autism Spectrum Disorder who are nonverbal. The items donated will help the children understand the world around them and help them communicate effectively. Due to the significant challenges of verbal communication, the students demonstrate higher levels of frustration and behavioral challenges. Thus, these items will allow the teacher/teachers (depending on the quantity of supplies) to use strategies to reduce behavior, frustrations issues and help students with tactile, visual, auditory, sensory, and fine motor abilities.
