ABOUT THE MILLENNIUM FELLOWSHIP - CLASS OF 2019
United Nations Academic Impact and MCN are proud to partner on the Millennium Fellowship. In the three months the application was open in 2019, over 7,000 young leaders applied to join the Class of 2019 on 1,209 campuses across 135 nations. 69 campuses worldwide (just 6%) were selected to host the 805 Millennium Fellows.
During the Millennium Fellowship, Millennium Fellows' dedicated 96,705 hours and their 422 unique projects positively impacted the lives of 564,366 people worldwide.

" I think this is an amazing program and an amazing opportunity to make a difference in the community and the world. I have always loved community service, starting new programs, and making a difference in the community, the world, and people's lives. This provides me the chance to create a 5K in memory of my dad and to spread awareness about heart attacks and heart disease. Through this program, I will be able to raise money and educate people about heart attacks, so one day, no one else will have to lose a loved one to a heart attack. "
Millennium Fellowship Project: The Richard Lowell Weaver Heart Attack Awareness 5K
The Richard Lowell Weaver Heart Attack Awareness: I am creating a team to go to the American Heart Association Walk. Anyone can come: students, family, friends, pets, anyone. I will read why this is important to me and about my dad before the Walk. The money will then be donated to the American Heart Association in memory of Richard Lowell Weaver, who is my dad.
I will continue to advertise and have people sign up. I will then measure my impact by the amount of people that show up to the Walk and the amount of money that I am able to raise and donate to the American Heart Association in memory of my dad. My goal is to raise over $2,000 to donate, and possibly have this be an annual event.
About the Millennium Fellow
Natalie Weaver is a student at Widener University majoring in Psychology, with a minor in Leadership Studies. She has Presidential Honors, is going into her Senior year, and will be graduating one year early. Natalie is very involved; she is the president of Psi Chi (The International Honor Society of Psychology), the president of Order of Omega, an Honors Program in General Education mentor, represented Widener in the Collegiate Leadership Competition, and a recipient of her Leadership Certificate from the Oskin Leadership Institute. Natalie is also a research assistant, volunteer for Crisis Text Line, and an intern at Community Interactions.
