Millennium Fellowship Project: Young Leader’s Peer Mentorship Program
Young Leader’s Mentorship Program is an initiative contemplated by Svadhyaya for young leaders coming from underprivileged community who are enthusiastic and determined to be a leader and bring positive change in the society. The main aim of this project is to impart knowledge by conducting sessions not just limited to the STEM education but also on non-conventional concepts like mental health, leadership and personality development, climate change and sustainability etc. We aim to help young leaders cope up with technology and also build core values of empathy and leadership and provide them with a global platform to talk about different issues, discuss new agendas, express their vision and help them turn their ideas into reality. It is an inclusive non-judgmental space created to benefactor kids to develop into better human with a progressive mindset.
About the Millennium Fellow
Supriya Koirala is a bright, young and globally competitive undergraduate student currently pursuing B.Tech in IT at Delhi Technological University, New Delhi, India. She’s been working to promote environmental conservation, rights promotion and inclusive education through her organization Svadhyaya. For as long as she could remember, she’s always been passionate about helping people and bringing positive social change in the society.
The drive and passion translated itself from Supriya’s experiences in the international community and her dedication to social action. Throughout her high school years and currently in her college years, she’s successfully led and launched various philanthropic projects and campaigns and has created real time impacts.
She is a firm believer of the saying that change begins from within and each one of us have the potential to be a change maker and she takes every opportunity as a means to turn her visions into reality. Through this belief and with the determination to bring global impact, she strives for excellence.
