" I am excited to be part of this fellowship program so that I can use this platform to put my analytical and problem solving skills into practice. I want to work on ground for the very first time in my life on such a program which has greater impacts on people. I want to use this experience in future to show the world my skills and to work in the future for the welfare of society. "

Millennium Fellowship Project: Taskeen-e-Rooh

Taskeen-e-Rooh is a project focusing on mental health awareness campaign. It follows SDG 3 i.e.healthy lives and well being. Under this project we aimed to hit teenagers and adults (from age 20-26). We conducted session in government school at FG Girls Public School Darya Abad RWP where we invited Miss Abira Kyani she addressed possible issues of teenagers like lack of career counselling, lack of emotional support from friends and family, body shaming etc with her thoughtful and background knowledge and also suggested possible solutions which opened students mind about how to tackle their problems and finding possible solutions for themselves. The purpose to conduct such session in government schools was because mostly those students were from poor family background which has no such access to phsycologists to discuss their issues, so for such students it was very helpful for them as it was first session in their school on such topic so it paved a right way for them. Secondly we collaborated with NUST society to conduct a seminar within Nust attended by Nustians where there was open question answer session with psychologist and then we had some engaging mind games to test stress levels or IQ levels. We also run green ribbon compaigns during session in school and NUST to show a symbol of mental fitness.
