ABOUT THE MILLENNIUM FELLOWSHIP - CLASS OF 2021

United Nations Academic Impact and MCN are proud to partner on the Millennium Fellowship. In 2021, over 25,000 young leaders on 2,000+ campuses across 153 nations applied to join the Class of 2021. 136 campuses worldwide (just 6%) were selected to host the 2,000+ Millennium Fellows. The Class of 2021 is bold, innovative, and inclusive.

Millennium Fellowship Project: Learning League

Learning League is a collaborative project led by Millennium Fellow, Aaron Wuti Maryam Suleiman and Thomas Sardauna which aims to reach out to young school children in rural communities in Jos who have little or no access to quality education.By providing young children with resources where possible and partnering with relevant stakeholders, we hope to ensure that these children have access to good and quality education. During the Millennium Fellowship (August-December 2021) the Learning League project will host 4 events. These events will comprise of visit to schools and roundtable discussions with relevant stakeholders. We are aiming to reach about 50-100 students per visit.

About the Millennium Fellow

Thomas Sardauna is a smart young leader , very passionate about development in General. He is a final year student of History and international studies at the university of Jos, Nigeria. He was born in Kaduna and raised in Kaduna and Jos where he currently schools. Thomas is passionate about quality education especially for kids who don't have the proper access to this education. His drive for this has made him engage in projects that involves kids education especially during the lockdown by providing teaching plans and guidelines as well as serving as kids tutors for kids, this among several projects has he embarked on to show what he is passionate about. He hopes to work someday with international bodies like the UN or AU in implementing the SDGs especially among the younger generation who hold the key to our future.
