" I believe in the power of diversity; without diversity, creativity remains stagnant—the greater the diversity, the greater the perfection. I am super excited about being a Millennium Fellow, for it's the right time to implement my mission of empowering youth and women through my institution. Being part of the global Fellows, with over 3000 leading peers from more than 200 campuses worldwide, fuels me, and I can't wait to meet these young global leaders to make the world a better place for everyone. Diversity is the one true thing we all have in common. "

Millennium Fellowship Project: Myfootprints Institute

MyFootprints Institute is a bi-annual regional training hub for youth leaders in social entrepreneurship that equips young people with social entrepreneurship, public speaking, leadership, E-life, cultural, and diplomacy skills. My mission is to train and prepare young social entrepreneurs to take the lead in the socio-economic transformation of Africa. Our vision is to have a competitive and vibrant private sector built on the principles of corporate social responsibility in Africa by 2035.

Our participants are welcome to engage in the “Social Enterprise Prize Competition.” Upon completion of the program, the competition winners are awarded, among other things, seed grants, connection to mentors in what we call “Mentor-Mentee Matching” (MMM). Thus, the Institute is run around the theme: "What would be my footprints when I am no longer on earth?"

About the Millennium Fellow

Self-motivated, a young leader, storyteller, and the writer describes who Moses Karamuzi is. With his passion for empowering communities, specifically youth and women, Moses founded Myfootprints Institute with the mission to create an online and in-person platform to train and prepare unemployed or low-income individuals focusing on youths and women, equipping them with skills such as E-life, public speaking, Social entrepreneurship, and cultural diplomacy to lead the socio-economic transformation in Rwanda by 2030. The motivation for this comes from where Moses grew up. Being born in southern Uganda, where attending school could be a dream. Later moved to Rwanda to proceed with his education. Today, Moses pursues his dream of being a voice for those whose voices can't be heard by attending the most prestigious African university (African Leadership University) on a full scholarship with his mission in global challenges. Moses aspires to grow his professional career so that he can be a pillar and a render that other youth like him can use to reach their dreams. Moses believes that his mission will contribute to developing United Nations' Sustainable Goals.
