Millennium Fellowship Project: Cancer Awareness on Campuses and Secondary Schools

Cancer awareness in secondary schools and on campuses involves creating awareness about cancer through education on the risk, prevention, and benefits of early cancer detection, with the belief that sensitization will lead to a cure and a decline in death rates as a result of cancer. I will educate young adults on the benefits of early cancer detection (through self-examination, cancer screening, pap smears, etc.) on the 4 types of cancer majorly seen in young adults, and these are breast, cervical, and lung and then the thyroid cancer. The need for early detection of cancer cannot be overemphasized.
