" Since the primary objective of my mission is to create a more sustainable and inclusive world by rallying students and young adults and encouraging them to integrate the 'do well, do good' motif into their professional lives, the Millennium Fellowship would be the ideal platform to do so, as it connects hundreds of students around the world, representing a variety of experiences and socio-economic conditions. I hope to learn from all the people I connect with as a part of this Fellowship. "

Millennium Fellowship Project: Do Well Do Good

The peoject works at educating students on consulting best practices, skill building, problem solving and presentation skills. These students are then encouraged to work on real world problems by working with NGOs and startups. The project is in collaboration with ShARE Global.

About the Millennium Fellow

Reeya Rakchhandha is a bright, young Indian student, currently pursuing an Integrated Masters in Development Studies and Applied Economics at the Indian Institute of Technology, Madras. Having grown up in one of the most polluted cities in the world i.e., Delhi, she is familiar with the social, economic and health challenges brought on by petrol and diesel powered vehicles, concentrated in a small geographical area. Since enrolling into her university, Reeya has worked with a variety of government organisations (NABARD, NHRC, CCI, NIUA) focusing on urban development, development economics and human rights. A vast portion of her professional career has been with ShARE, an innovative startup working at the crossroads of education and consulting. ShARE allows its members to not only do 'well' but also do 'good' in their careers. As a part of ShARE, Reeya has worked with a number of e-mobility startups addressing the issue of air pollution in big cities like Delhi. Reeya hopes to introduce the young people of her country to a new career perspective, which not only works in the favour of corporate stakeholders but also society at large. In doing so, she hopes to shape a more sustainable and inclusive world.
