" What differentiates some businesses and teams from others is not how great their leader is but how great their leaders are at choosing their team members to make their ideas come alive. With the help of Millennium Fellowship, getting to know and learn from individuals like me, provides me with a sense of belongingness, comfort as well as the required challenge to push myself at the same time. I am hoping to develop myself and my team to go beyond what I think are our limits and learn to give back to our community at the same time. "

Millennium Fellowship Project: Project Shed the Shame

Shed The Shame is an initiative by a group of undergraduate students in Delhi to spread awareness about menstrual hygiene in India and shed the stigma surrounding menstruation in our society. Through this initiative, the project leader aims to make ripples of changes in society, and I hope to build a society where we don't get alarmed or uncomfortable the next time someone hears the word menstruation and everyone can, instead, talk about it openly and teach young girls and boys to do the same. The project addresses UN Goals like Education for All and its commitment to Human Rights and Gender equality as well as health and well-being through the promotion of menstrual hygiene practices and education.
