" Purpose, challenges and commitment are the 3 wheels I always consider in travelling towards the path of self-satisfaction and social service. The platform is providing me with unfettered opportunities that would help me achieve my goal of improving conditions of the people and respect their rights making me full of enthusiasm and determination to work excitingly towards achieving the aim. "

Millennium Fellowship Project: Project Samman: Our Body Our Right

Our project mainly fixates around combating this issue of unawareness the need of raising awareness among tribal women about their sexual and reproductive rights plus their right to access to public resources like Medicare and Medicaid not just to them but to the urban population as well for our aim of mobilizing this issue to a significant degree.

The focal problem about this exploitation issue that we figured out is mainly because of the hesitancy which could be a product of illiteracy to the people of the pocketed areas. Hence our project would first assess the current condition of these marginalized women, especially targeting the most prone i.e., youth community by continuous engagement through both physical and virtual platforms via collaborations with the local administrators to learn about their experiences of healthcare legislation on them to gain their feedback regarding them and what improvements need to be made to the particular area or communities. The next step would be to rely on these observations and data so collected to the legislators and captivate their attention towards the cause to gain policy frameworks and raise funds through ambassador campaigns and collaborate with various NGOs and NPOs plus philanthropists to attain mass audience and their engagement to improve the tribal women's current situation regarding access to healthcare facilities and their awareness on menstrual period, usage and disposal of pads and other sanitary products, the consequences due to poor hygienic practices during periods, contraception, gynecological problems, and safe motherhood.
