Millennium Fellowship Project: Mental Health and You

The project aims to enlighten and sensitize students of Osun State University and secondary schools in Osogbo, Nigeria, on mental health and how they can take proper care of it.

The project focuses on educating students on the causes, symptoms and prevention of different forms of mental illnesses and how people can seek help from from loved ones and professional therapists to successfully manage mental illness.

The project also helps to demystify myths surrounding mental illness and discourage stigmatization and discrimination against people with mental illness.

About the Millennium Fellow

At the moment, Joy Amusan is a student in the department of public health at the University of Osun, Nigeria. He graduated from Seventh-day Adventist College in Ife, Osun Stage, Nigeria.He's passionate about the technological development of the state at large and balancing the unequal adoption of techie between males and females in the state. He's taken classes on data analysis and visualization from IBM, Allison, and Educaba, to name a few.

Research, biostatistics, and web development excite him. He collaborates with lecturers in the department of public health at Uniosun to write manuscripts. Editor-in-chief of the Uniosun Journal of Public Health, FABAMSA deputy speaker, NAPHS deputy speaker, and campus director of the PIGIN program at Uniosun, C.E.O Joy D'Analyst. In addition to SPSS, Excel, and Microsoft software packages, R, SQL, graphpad prism, he also knows how to use Mendeley, , and a slew of other useful tools. To help APIN, an AIDS non-governmental organization, he serves as a PICTS agent. A volunteer at Garnet Youth Development Foundation, BIOSUN Global, and Chairo's initiative.
