United Nations Academic Impact and MCN are proud to partner on the Millennium Fellowship. Over 31,000 young leaders on 2,400+ campuses across 140+ nations applied to join the Class of 2022.  200+ campuses worldwide (just 8%) were selected to host the 3,000+ Millennium Fellows.

Millennium Fellowship Project: Innovación: Programas Escuela Mercator

Planning and implementation of programs/workshops for the development of human skills necessary for teamwork, inclusion and effective communication. Intended for different groups of people. Created with the purpose of providing tools to improve conflict resolution.

About the Millennium Fellow

Francisca Meriño Fariña is an intelligent, competitive and hardworking young woman studying Electrical Engineering at the Pontificia Universidad Católica de Chile. She was born in Chile, grew up in a small town called Parral and currently resides in Santiago, the country's capital.
Since her early school years, Francisca was interested in science and mathematics, always looking for ways to contribute to the community through research.
During her high school years and currently at university, she has participated in different instances to enhance her leadership and contribute, through public service, with substantial improvements in the area of sustainable energy. In addition, she is part of the Mercator Foundation, where she works in the planning and implementation of programs/workshops for the development of the necessary skills for teamwork, inclusion and effective communication.
The student aspires to work in a professional field where she can link research and effective teamwork in the search for solutions to society's needs. This in order to make her own contribution to the development of the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals.
