" My interests lie in academia, social activism and collaboration. I am drawn to how academically driven the Fellowship is. By virtue of the fact that the fellowship is interdisciplinary and presides across nations and campuses, it naturally fosters a culture of teamwork and collaboration. This is something I am looking forward to! I also admire how 'hands' on the fellowship is and its involvement and enrichment in lives of the fellows. I see this platform as a place I can grow in tremendously as well as be able to contribute to it meaningfully. "

Millennium Fellowship Project: Siyanqoba

I ran a joint project with a fellow student. We had to undergo a number of training programmes that would allow us to create a booklet that has accessible information on mental health for students, as well as people beyond the university community.

We called our campaign ""siyanqoba"" as it means ""we are conquering"". This speaks to our pursuit with this campaign, to educate and begin to remove stigmas surrounding mental health.
