Millennium Fellowship Project: The Activity Box : Quality Education For All

The Activity Box project is a social impact initiative aimed at eliminating poverty and promoting education for all. The project comprises two main projects: teaching young adults how to braid hair, bake, and do carpentry, and creating a YouTube channel with free videos for biology. The student- teacher ratio of most schools in my community is as big as 60:1. One teacher attends to a class of about 60 students. With those many students, most teachers do not have enough time to attend to each student's needs, and making sure that each student understands what they are being taught. Repeating a lesson to a single student is often deemed as luxury, and most children pay an extra fee in order to get that second lesson. The second project was aimed at creating a YouTube channel with free videos for biology. The has helped to promote education for all by providing free educational resources to students in the form of videos , it has also helped to promote digital literacy by providing students with access to online educational resources. The YouTube channel, Biology made easy zim, is still a growing channel with a great potential for social impact. So far, the you tube channel has a few subscribers and 261 views on the videos uploaded as of Monday 07 November 2023.
