" I am grateful and excited to be a part of this amazing journey. I enjoy working around people and I look forward to working with Fellow young people to make this dream a reality. I am mostly excited because the program will impact me with the requisite skills I will need in order to partake in the change making process. "
Millennium Fellowship Project: Suluhisho Project
Suluhisho' is a Swahili word for resolution. The project seeks to create awareness on the need to use alternative means of dispute resolution especially between law enforcers and the citizens. The law enforcement officers have been characterized as brutal and uncouth in the course of their duties. This project seeks to enlighten everyone involved in a dispute including law enforcers on how to handle the same to achieve positive results and in a way that will enhance and promote peace in the society. This way, police force institutions will consequently be strengthened. I plan to use social media as a tool to enhance the same. My project looks at promoting SDG 16 which aims at promoting peace and strengthening institutions.
