" In both senses literally and metaphorically, unable to finish what I take on my plate upsets me. That being so, I cherish sustainable growth and development. In the spirit of making this world a better space, while numerous young minds leaving their footprints behind, I would like to add my baby steps as well. I believe that courage to take initiatives brings the change one wish to see around, and I aspire to be venturous enough. "

Millennium Fellowship Project: Iota: Sustainable Wastepaper Management

Paper waste is one of the big concerns on college/university campuses. The project aims to realize a simple intent: installing a paper recycle machine on campus and/or establishing a system to make paper recycling efficient. As the project comes under ensuring sustainable consumption and production patterns, and being a zero-waste campus is a dream goal for any organization, it is not only pleasant for the environment but also considerate for the organization's economy. Perhaps, zero paper waste can be the first step or a jump for Ashoka University in that direction that can guide others at Ashoka University to aspire for another long jump, maybe zero food waste, and so on.

About the Millennium Fellow

Mukesh Sharma is an undergraduate, who swiftly gets submerged under interdisciplinary and multidisciplinary ocean. While Mathematics is his major, the charm of Sociology-Anthropology and Visual Arts attracts him most. A self-taught dancer, loves attending traditional dance concerts and enjoys trying new dance forms. Albeit, having an inclination towards modern forms forges him into a hip-hop dancer. In closing, an explorer with diverse interests from sports to poetry to deciphering arbitrary oojahs. When he is on leave from the world expedition, you may find him playing some board game. Mysteriously, his favorite board game has been Pandemic since 2018.
