" I am a person who always know how to stand up. I have always wanted to be a part of the United Nations since childhood. Being a Millennium Fellow would bring me closer to that. I believe that quality education should be made accessible to everyone irrespective of their gender, caste or socio- economic background. My project along with the Millennium Fellowship would help me to achieve this goal of mine; and the project would also gain more support, recognition and connection through the Millennium Fellowship . I am really grateful for the Millennium Fellowship "

Millennium Fellowship Project: Post Pandemic Education Aid

Due to the pandemic, education was turned into online mode. But many students, especially from rural areas or families of lower socioeconomic conditions, could not have access to it due to a lack of proper digital devices.

As the pandemic slows down in 2022, education has also started to be offline. However, those students who couldn't access online education earlier have an academic gap in their studies of almost two years. So, many such children cannot adapt to the syllabus of their present class.

My project aims at providing solutions to this problem. The project aims to take place over four months, starting in August. We identify the set of children having the conditions mentioned above.
Along with my team, I am helping these children clear their academic backlog of 2 years. My project takes place in the schools nearby my institute by visiting them.
The group finds relevant and essential topics from the students' previous grades, which are crucial for understanding the present syllabus. Children are provided 2 to 2.5 hours of courses daily on various subjects they have in school. This is conducted up to 2 times a week on Saturdays, Sundays, or holidays.

Finally, at the end of the project, these children from rural areas or families with lower socioeconomic conditions will be able to establish a better and more vital position in their academics.

We will be able to implement the UN Sustainable Development Goal of providing Quality Education and the UNAI principle of Education for all. Children, irrespective of their socio-economic conditions, can improve their education quality.

The leadership and skills I learned in the fellowship helped me greatly in my project. I am able to come up with better ideas for the project along with my team members by having proper coordination, better team spirit within the team. Also, I am able to make intelligent plans and know how to execute them properly and realistically. Also, the Millennium fellowship helps us identify our target audience properly and how to approach and interact with them effectively.
