" My participation in this Millennium Fellowship Program has significant relevance to my studies. As a student who specializes in communication, it will assist me to improve my knowledge and skills about communication for development, boost communication skills and provide me with enough skills that I will use to organize communication campaigns. This Fellowship will train and lead me to understand deeper communication for development. Therefore, being a member of this Fellowship will help me to achieve my goal of being a communication specialist who will promote sustainable development.
Joining this Fellowship will be my greatest opportunity to meet with different development experts and communication specialists who will share with me their experiences and reveal the challenges they face in their professional careers that aim at promoting sustainable development. This will help me to understand the significant role of communication for development in social change.
Engaging in this Fellowship will expand my skills in how to organize, implementing, monitoring, and evaluating communication campaigns. I will learn more about designing communication strategies for any particular communication campaign. Communicators and development experts will illustrate to me the strategies that they experienced in designing communication campaigns. This will encourage me to go deeper into my career path with enough experience and skills gained from them.
Hence, participating in this Fellowship program will provide me with a great opportunity of creating mutual understanding between different participants and leaders. It will also train me to explore different challenges that hinder development and how to find solutions to those challenges. "

Millennium Fellowship Project: Good Education Better Success (GEBS)

My project focuses on supporting the refugee youths who located in Mahatma refugee camp in Eastern province, Rwanda country. It aims at promoting high education for refugees to boost their standard of living. The project helps the youth students to adapt and learn English skills such as writing, reading, speaking, and listening which is the academic language used in Rwanda. I analyzed and realized the challenges which the youth refugees are daily struggling due to the new system of education they engaged in, because they have been taught in French system in their native countries, then I came up with creating this project for the purpose of handling these issues. Additionally, it is not only helping in teaching English skills, but also supporting high school candidates who are ready to sit for National Exams in different courses, and support them to look for different scholarships and apply for them. Now, some of them are at the Universities others are still waiting for their admissions.
