Millennium Fellowship Project: LH4LH (Holistic Education for Le Havre)
We work with an organization to be paired up with students (teens ages 12-16) who have recently immigrated to France and we meet with the students weekly to advance their study skills and help them integrate into French schooling and society. We take them on cultural outings, tutor them with their French, English, or other homework, and we work alongside their families to make sure the students are adjusting well in school. Our end goal is to partner with an organization like UNICEF to help administer workshops on child rights, and follow their Ecole Amie des Droits de l’Enfant framework as we continue this project further.
