" "Jugaad," a quintessentially Indian concept of resourceful problem-solving, is a skill I have inherited from my family. It is where creativity meets practicality—turning the simplest tools into solutions with passion and ingenuity. This minimalist approach fuels both my art and my work, allowing me to achieve more with less. Joining the Millennium Fellowship offers the perfect platform to refine these skills collaboratively, transforming my creative instincts into impactful social actions. I am thrilled about the opportunity to grow personally and make my contributions even more aligned with UNAI principles and SDGs through innovative learning and skill-building. "

Millennium Fellowship Project: ParDAAग

ParDAAग – To Unveil the DAAG
ParDAAग, the name which has two aspects of itself- Pardaa and Daag, truly reflects the power behind the aim of the project that is “Menstruation: not a shame but a flow of dignity”. Parda, historically associated with women and signifies “veiling or covering oneself” is so deeply rooted in our cultural and religious traditions that women could never muster up the courage to not only talk and fight through the stigmas attached with menstruation but also lost their identity under the societal expectation. Daag which has contributed to the perception of women as inferior or unclean and menstruation as impure or dirty. The sole purpose of my project is to unveil this daag and reach out to support hundreds of women out there waiting to break the social stigmas, acquire education on reproductive health, and are willing to get healthy period solution. The project also holds potential to strengthen women’s dignity leading to women empowerment and spreading awareness on sustainable menstruation.
