She is the founder and executive director of the Social Impact Media Awards (SIMA), a global awards program recognizing excellence in non-fiction storytelling, and SIMA Studios, a non-profit media agency that has established a new paradigm for the distribution and impact of documentaries worldwide.

With a strategic focus on 'responsible impact through creativity,' SIMA's year-round Cinema Across Borders series and educational streaming platform, SIMA Academy, bring social impact films to communities and classrooms in over 100 countries. Daniela’s early career, working in the human rights and international development sectors across Southeast Asia, West Africa, and the Middle East, nurtured her expertise and conviction in the transformative power of storytelling, particularly where education and high impact community engagement meet.
