ABOUT THE MILLENNIUM FELLOWSHIP - CLASS OF 2018
United Nations Academic Impact and MCN are proud to partner on the Millennium Fellowship. In the three months the application was open in 2018, students applied to join the Class of 2018 on 285 campuses across 57 nations. 30 campuses worldwide (just 11%) were selected to host the 402 Millennium Fellows in the global pilot this year.
The Class of 2018 is bold, innovative, and inclusive. During the Millennium Fellowship, Millennium Fellows' dedicated 48,785 hours and their 214 unique projects positively impacted the lives of 393,449 people worldwide.

Millennium Fellowship Project: Talented Academy
Talented Academy is a community based skills development initiative working with young children to achieve sustainable personal development. The project seeks to identify the skills/talents of the youth in society and connect them to platforms and trainings needed for them to enhance their talents to achieve a brighter future. From August to November, the team aims to train 15 youth on art skills such as soap making, weaving, and connecting them to fields/avenues according to their talents where they can earn income to cater for their educational needs using their talents and skills acquired.
About the Millennium Fellow
Mathew Ndekudugu is a Mastercard foundation scholar and a rising sophomore at Ashesi University. He is passionate about leadership and entrepreneurial activities that are capable of changing Africa and the world at large. He believes so much that the active involvement of the youth in entrepreneurship is a sure way to changing the world. This gives him the reason to start the Talented Academy in the northern part of Ghana, which is aimed at raising ethical entrepreneurial leaders through nurturing of Talents.
