" I am incredibly honored to be selected as a Millennium Fellow and be welcomed into a global family of leaders striving to design a better future. I have dedicated my studies and professional efforts within supply chain, sustainability, and international business to create the next global standard for corporate social responsibility. This aspiration came to me when I was 13 when I traveled to Belgrade Serbia to represent the United States in a youth soccer tournament. After the tournament, we visited some of the city’s poorest communities where I watched the sludge from a nearby manufacturing plant pollute the local water supply. The injustice I felt was related to a concept I could not yet name: the concept of social responsibility in business practice. This experience became the genesis of my journey to create social change. As global citizens, I believe we are the generation to impact the change we wish to see in the world, and I am privileged to be in the company of other young leaders finding local solutions to global issues. "

Millennium Fellowship Project: Culinary Collective Project

The Culinary Collective Project will combat food insecurity by organizing and providing food to low-income ASU students. By accessing the MCN's global network, they hope to gain valuable insight into how young leaders around the world combat this issue. Through this fellowship, the team intends to conduct research and partner with key members in their community to study this issue locally, and comprise their findings into a proposal to procure a designated space on campus to provide food resources and education to those most in need.
