" I sincerely believe that it only takes one random act of kindness in order to make a difference in someone else's life. And it is through the repetition of those acts of kindness, we can make a difference in the whole world. Being a Millennium Fellow will provide me with the incomparable experience and honor of being surrounded with a support network of an amazing group of people that share the same passion and purpose of helping others and making a difference in the world as mine. "
Millennium Fellowship Project: Engineering and Commerce Case Competition
The Engineering and Commerce Case Competition is the first student run international multi-disciplinary competition, where students from all around the world gather to solve real life problems and promote sustainable economic development. The aim of the competition is to break down the communication barriers between students from different backgrounds and to foster the next generation leaders through the experiential learning process of sustainable case solving. Through the 3 events that would be hosted this year, reaching the 7000 students on campus, Adham believes that his project would raise awareness regarding the importance of the multidisciplinary communication and interaction of Business, Technology Management, and Engineering in order to provide sustainable solutions for some of the problems currently happening in the world. His fellowship project is advancing the Sustainable Development Goal of ensuring equitable and inclusive quality education for all. Moreover, the project would be also advocating the United Nations Academic Impact of an equal access to higher education for all.
About the Millennium Fellow
My name is Adham Aly. I am currently studying in my second year in Concordia University with a major in International Business and minors in Political Science and Data Intelligence. I am originally from Egypt, yet I moved to Canada with my family 4 years ago. I am drastically interested in pursuing a career in economic development in order to provide better life conditions to those who are unfortunate and help make a difference in someone else's life. I am a big advocate of providing equal rights, life conditions, opportunities, and proper education for children all around the world, and that was the reason behind my involvement with UNICEF Concordia the last year. My favorite quote is “When you can’t get a miracle, you can still be a miracle for someone else” by Nick Vujicic.
