" I'm thrilled to have been chosen as a Millennium Fellow, not only for the opportunity to collaborate with like-minded peers and make a positive global impact, but to gain better insight on how to embark on a career centered around social justice. "
Millennium Fellowship Project: Bargaining for Better Schools
The Bargaining for Better Schools Project aims to provide accessible information and create dialogue pertaining to public education employment practices in New York State, benefitting both labor management relations and the general public. As a research assistant my role is to code contracts to later analyze trends to potentially be used in labor-management negotiations. This past semester we have completed coding for over an hundred teachers contracts, made edits on the health insurance report, and trained several new members to the team.
