" I’m excited to be a Millennium Fellow because I’ll have the unique opportunity to build a global network of individuals that have similar passions. I believe that there is so much value in community and learning from other people, so I’m excited to engage with everyone in the fellowship. The hope in a better future drives me to do the work I do and I feel honored to walk side by side with other individuals who have the same vision as well. "
Millennium Fellowship Project: Books not Bombs at GT STEM Workshops
Our project was to conduct hands-on STEM workshops to increase access to and interest in STEM-related higher education for refugee students attending Clarkston HS. Our measurable outcomes were quantified by number of workshops held, number of attendees and number of organizations we partnered with.
About the Millennium Fellow
Hi! I grew up in Tokyo, Japan and am currently studying Industrial and Systems Engineering at the Georgia Institute of Technology. I loved growing up in Tokyo and everything it has to offer- from its food and trains, to its architecture and culture. I grew to be passionate about social impact work in high school and have pursued that alongside school throughout my college career. I care deeply about every person having equal opportunities and the freedom to shape their own life. I hope to carry out this mission in whatever I do and wherever I go.
