" I am excited to join a movement of leaders that champions an intersectional approach, like that of the Sustainable Development Goals, in order to address the complex, multi-faceted determinants of well-being and achieve lasting global change. "
Millennium Fellowship Project: GlobeMed at Georgetown
Primeros Pasos is a global health non-profit organization in Quetzaltenango, Guatemala that provides health education and primary health services to rural, indigenous populations. GlobeMed at Georgetown is in a sustainable, two-way partnership with the clinic, in which we provide resources such as funds, human capital, and technology, and in turn learn from them about their community and how to become future global health leaders. This semester, we fundraised for the clinic and spread awareness of the global health issues of interest.
About the Millennium Fellow
I am from Baltimore, MD and am a rising senior at Georgetown studying Biology of Global Health as well as Spanish. I hope to center my future career around helping to address health disparities among marginalized populations. In my spare time, I enjoy exploring DC and singing on campus in an A cappella group.
