ABOUT THE MILLENNIUM FELLOWSHIP - CLASS OF 2018

United Nations Academic Impact and MCN are proud to partner on the Millennium Fellowship. In the three months the application was open in 2018, students applied to join the Class of 2018 on 285 campuses across 57 nations. 30 campuses worldwide (just 11%) were selected to host the 402 Millennium Fellows in the global pilot this year.

The Class of 2018 is bold, innovative, and inclusive. During the Millennium Fellowship, Millennium Fellows' dedicated 48,785 hours and their 214 unique projects positively impacted the lives of 393,449 people worldwide.

Millennium Fellowship Project: Mentor a Secondary School Student Initiative

Mentor a Secondary School Student Initiative is a social impact platform committed to sustainably educating high school students on how to be purpose-driven, value-oriented and spurring them to a higher life of significance.

Over 600 students was impacted between the period of August and November through organizing school to school seminar series and a leadership weekend retreat program.

About the Millennium Fellow

Christy Alagbe is a final year student of the Faculty of Pharmacy, University of Ibadan, Nigeria. A dynamic, innovative, goal oriented lady, full of great fire to ignite the world. She's passionate about social entrepreneurship, innovations and problems solving.

She is the founder of Mentor a Secondary School Student Initiative, a platform that is committed to sustainably educating high school students on how to be purpose-driven, value-oriented and spurring them to a higher life of significance.

She is a certified Project Management Professional and a certified Human Resource Management Personnel. Christy's skills include but not limited to project management, excellent communication, leadership skills and administrative skills.

Christy's hobbies include reading and writing. At leisure, she plays game (chess and monopoly) and listens to cool classical musics.
