ABOUT THE MILLENNIUM FELLOWSHIP - CLASS OF 2018
United Nations Academic Impact and MCN are proud to partner on the Millennium Fellowship. In the three months the application was open in 2018, students applied to join the Class of 2018 on 285 campuses across 57 nations. 30 campuses worldwide (just 11%) were selected to host the 402 Millennium Fellows in the global pilot this year.
The Class of 2018 is bold, innovative, and inclusive. During the Millennium Fellowship, Millennium Fellows' dedicated 48,785 hours and their 214 unique projects positively impacted the lives of 393,449 people worldwide.

" I do whatever I do because I have a vision of transforming Africa into an admirable continent. Therefore as a transformative leader it's my role to identify the problems in my community and call for positive change for what I can apply or contribute to. I am very excited to be a fellow cause I have high hope of collaborating with young innovator who are highly creative and strong to make a world a better place to live. I also hope to build my Network and connects not forgetting achieving a UN certificate of recognition which I regard extraordinary. "
Millennium Fellowship Project: Fuel The World
Use biodegradable burn to obtain charcoal dust mix with thick cassava porridge or red soil to make something like dough. Make different shapes of briquettes. Samples are distributed among these women in society for them to be motivated towards this cause and are also taught on how to produce them. Save forests, use garbage for briquettes.
About the Millennium Fellow
Alicia, aged 20yrs, a MasterCard scholar at Makerere University pursuing a Bqachelor's of science in Biotechnology She hold position number one in her family and currently a Deputy Speaker of Makerere University Biotechnology Society. 'As a young transformative leader I believe in inclusive and servant leadership for effective transformation of African communities. I am passionate about giving back and charity work.
