" One quote, written by Nelson Mandela, that I follow every day is:
Education is the most powerful weapon that you can use to change the world.
I love helping others. That's why I am very excited to be a Millennium Fellow because as a future educator, I have always had a passion for teaching and working with other students. Being a part of this will help me to branch out even further, to see how I can connect with even more students so that I can be the best teacher that I can be when I have my own classroom someday.

Millennium Fellowship Project: The 1742 Model: A Comprehensive Program for Education and Action on The Sustainable Development Goals in the Lehigh Valley
The 1742 Model is one program with four separate branches with varying specific objectives. These four branches include: LGBTQ+ Outreach, Sustainability Education, Housing Insecurity, and Food Reclamation. As a campus director, I oversaw all of these committees, however as an Education Major I particularly focused my efforts on the Education Committee.
About the Millennium Fellow
My name is Jason Dietrich. I am a senior at Moravian College, located in Bethlehem, PA. I am a General Science major seeking Middle-Level Education certification. I am very involved on campus, and I am very passionate about helping others. I recently did a 6-week internship with the Lehigh Valley Summerbridge Program, where I taught 7th and 8th grade middle-school students Astronomy, as well as how to write music. It was a great experience! I am very excited to be a Millennium Fellow, so that I can branch out to others and learn more about their stories and passions.
