Millennium Fellowship Project: Sustainable Solutions

ustainable Solutions invites college students and Philadelphia high schoolers to tackle the UN Sustainable Development Goals through project-based solutions. This year’s competition theme is Localizing the SDGs, so students will work in teams of 2-6 to address the most urgent sustainability issues in Philadelphia. As long as you are passionate about one of the 17 Sustainable Development Goals, you can compete. Our mission is to provide the necessary resources for all competitors to succeed, regardless of their major, grade level, or background.

About the Millennium Fellow

Samantha Friskey is a rising junior at the University of Pennsylvania studying English and economics. She became interested in sustainability after enrolling in a sustainability-themed pre-orientation program on a whim and has since been an active memeber of Penn’s green scene and worked for Penn’s sustainability office. This winter, she will travel to India as a part of the Penn Program for Environmental Humanities to present her research on public art in a West Philadelphia.
