" I believe that for perceptions to shift, they need to be tackled from all angles to disrupt the status quo. I am ecstatic and very humbled to be a Millennium Fellow, striving to prove that no matter the size, everyone can contribute to achieving our SDG’s by 2030. This community is an inspiring platform to share passions and collaborate internationally and I cannot wait to see where it progresses to. "

Millennium Fellowship Project: P.E.A.C.E. Unlimited

P.E.A.C.E. in Western Sydney is a strategy for Promoting, Educating, Awareness-raising, Campaigning, and Empowering individuals, groups and the community, around Sustainable Development and the capacity we all have to effect lasting, positive change. It is a framework for disrupting unsustainable practices and current ideologies within our University and the broader community. P.E.A.C.E aims to:

PROMOTE via 5 identified internal media platforms targeting students (45,000) and staff (3,000).

EDUCATE on current and future University and SDSN Youth initiatives including Responsible Cafes, Tea Bag Project, Plastic Lids installation and local High School Masterclass programs

Raise AWARENESS across the 5 main campuses personalizing the SDGs to local concerns

Create two CAMPAIGNS:

Challenging the University to re-evaluate current policies, practices and values.

Disrupt current unsustainable consumption and waste practices, i.e., single-use items

EMPOWER students and staff by implementing a new initiative, installing environmentally fact-based challenges related to a minimum of 3 SDGs across 5 main campuses
