Millennium Fellowship Project: P.E.A.C.E. Unlimited

P.E.A.C.E. in Western Sydney is a strategy for Promoting, Educating, Awareness-raising, Campaigning, and Empowering individuals, groups and the community, around Sustainable Development and the capacity we all have to effect lasting, positive change. It is a framework for disrupting unsustainable practices and current ideologies within our University and the broader community. P.E.A.C.E aims to:

PROMOTE via 5 identified internal media platforms targeting students (45,000) and staff (3,000).

EDUCATE on current and future University and SDSN Youth initiatives including Responsible Cafes, Tea Bag Project, Plastic Lids installation and local High School Masterclass programs

Raise AWARENESS across the 5 main campuses personalizing the SDGs to local concerns

Create two CAMPAIGNS:

Challenging the University to re-evaluate current policies, practices and values.

Disrupt current unsustainable consumption and waste practices, i.e., single-use items

EMPOWER students and staff by implementing a new initiative, installing environmentally fact-based challenges related to a minimum of 3 SDGs across 5 main campuses

About the Millennium Fellow

Through my studies of a double degree of Sustainable Agriculture & Food Security as well as Applied Leadership & Critical Thinking, I intend to strengthen local food systems, connecting the consumer with the producer to minimise food and nutritional insecurity and address other food system issues such as waste streams.
