ABOUT THE MILLENNIUM FELLOWSHIP - CLASS OF 2019
United Nations Academic Impact and MCN are proud to partner on the Millennium Fellowship. In the three months the application was open in 2019, over 7,000 young leaders applied to join the Class of 2019 on 1,209 campuses across 135 nations. 69 campuses worldwide (just 6%) were selected to host the 805 Millennium Fellows.
During the Millennium Fellowship, Millennium Fellows' dedicated 96,705 hours and their 422 unique projects positively impacted the lives of 564,366 people worldwide.

Millennium Fellowship Project: Waste to Wealth
Waste to Wealth project aims to enlighten community members about the effect of improper disposal of waste, it also involves the conversion of waste product like polyethylene into shoe polish and conversion of wet waste into bio-gas. it aims at creating a local market for the products. At the end of the program, we hope to en-lighting 1,000 people and convert over 80% of the waste in our community.
About the Millennium Fellow
James Ben Onaji is a fourth year student of Ahmadu Bello University zaria studying water resources and environmental engineering. James is a global peace and global goal ambassador and currently serving as the head of the Ethics and discipline unit at Enactus Ahmadu Bello University.
