ABOUT THE MILLENNIUM FELLOWSHIP - CLASS OF 2019
United Nations Academic Impact and MCN are proud to partner on the Millennium Fellowship. In the three months the application was open in 2019, over 7,000 young leaders applied to join the Class of 2019 on 1,209 campuses across 135 nations. 69 campuses worldwide (just 6%) were selected to host the 805 Millennium Fellows.
During the Millennium Fellowship, Millennium Fellows' dedicated 96,705 hours and their 422 unique projects positively impacted the lives of 564,366 people worldwide.

Millennium Fellowship Project: African Intellects Hub
African Intellects Hub is a debating and free speech society and an open forum for emerging change-makers with the zeal of making a positive impact in Africa and beyond. The camaraderie of young and committed university students working tirelessly in making Africa a better place. By creating a content that informs, inspires and brainstorms critical development models, situations and scenarios that will put Africa on the global map of development. It is a strategic framework for the socio-economic transformation of the continent in the near future by conscious people having Africa at Heart. Its builds on, and seeks to accelerate the implementation of past, existing and upcoming continental initiatives for growth and sustainable development. And also serves as a Think Tank which performs research and advocacy concerning Pan – African related issues. By November, we envisioned reviewing the African Aspirations for 2063 with 200 Student Leaders.
About the Millennium Fellow
Muhammad Sani Kassim is a Senior in Ahmadu Bello University Zaria, studying agricultural and bio-resources engineering. He is a fiercely passionate believer of Peace, Qualitative Education, Good and Transformative Governance in Africa. He is the Founder and Chief Executive Officer of Diamond Charity Foundation Africa; improving access to quality education for vulnerable and marginalized people in Africa. With the impact of 27000+ He is a Fellow|Emerging African Leadership Program of Center for Social Awareness, Advocacy and Ethics in Maryland USA and a student of PolicyMaking in Møller Institute, University of Cambridge. He is a member, United Nations Population Fund, Youth Advisory Group, and a Youth Gender Ambassador, to the Kaduna State Government.
