ABOUT THE MILLENNIUM FELLOWSHIP - CLASS OF 2019
United Nations Academic Impact and MCN are proud to partner on the Millennium Fellowship. In the three months the application was open in 2019, over 7,000 young leaders applied to join the Class of 2019 on 1,209 campuses across 135 nations. 69 campuses worldwide (just 6%) were selected to host the 805 Millennium Fellows.
During the Millennium Fellowship, Millennium Fellows' dedicated 96,705 hours and their 422 unique projects positively impacted the lives of 564,366 people worldwide.

Millennium Fellowship Project: The Investment Society
The student Empowerment Initiative named "The Investment Society,Ahmadu Bello University,Zaria" was birthed as a result of the poor educational system on the continent which does not prepare students for the changing nature work(employabiltiy skills).
It is glared that the higher institution education is necessary but not sufficient enough for one to navigate the real world,so therefore,there is need for one to equip oneself with the required workplace skills by seeking for revolution beyond classroom.
The Investment Society,ABU,Zaria is established to bridge the (aforementioned) gap between theory and thought in the area of Finance,Investment and Management consulting by simulating the real world in each of the aforementioned field.
How do we intend to achieve all this? We have been achieving this and still craving for more by inviting professionals in practice to serve co-educators/facilitators of students making it an experiental type of learning, we also organize various event driven finance activities targeted at deepening the understanding of our members.
About the Millennium Fellow
Sodiq Ibikunle is currently an undergraduate student of Ahmadu Bello University,Zaria, where he majors in Economics,he is the founder/president of "The Investment Society,Ahmadu Bello University,Zaria".
He is also a member of Youth Alliance For Development in Africa,a YouthLead Ambassador and also a campus ambassadors of more than two brands,he is visionary and agile young lad,his watch word is to learn and grow consistently beyond borders,he is also a change maker and finance enthusiast.
