CETYS Universidad | Ensenada, Mexico | Advancing SDG 10 & UNAI 6
" I’m delighted for being part of the 2019 Millennium Fellowship class, as well as I feel so honored to have an opportunity like this. I’ve always felt that we as a society can do so much more to improve the lives of others, and really treat our planet as our home. I’m committed to being part of the change that we need, especially, I’m excited to work in the Social Inclusion Project to lift and develop a healthy relationship between all of us. "
Millennium Fellowship Project: Social Inclusion
Our project consists in raising awareness in our society towards people with different disabilities through campaigns on several social media platforms, conferences, activities and workshops. All these activities will be made in public spaces where the community can participate and experience first hand what it is like to live in the shoes of people with disabilities. Because we are focusing on the Sustainable Development Goal number 10: Reducing inequalities we believe that the previous propositions of activities will result on creating empathy and awareness in the community towards people with this conditions. At the end of the month of events we will challenge a local business to make their establishment more inclusive like having employees with disabilities, having the menu in braille or having accessible entrances.
