" I hope that when I graduate a few years from now, the debate circuit will be sustainable. The Spanish Debate team at Cornell has seen the entry of Latinx students to collegiate debate. Through our non-profit, I would like to continue seeing this underrepresented group come into the debate community and become empowered. "

Millennium Fellowship Project: Spanish Debate USA (SDUSA)

SDUSA aims to facilitate the growth of a Spanish Debate circuit for Worlds debate format in the United States. We hope to organize the US formally to have a better schedule of what tournaments will be occurring in the academic year and support debate teams in the US.

About the Millennium Fellow

Victor Rosas is a sophomore at Cornell University majoring in Industrial and Labor Relations. He is passionate in advocating for the survivors of sexual violence — aspiring to one day become a SVU Prosecutor. On campus, Victor is the President of the Spanish Debate Team and Treasurer of Consent Ed. In his free time, he enjoys walking his dog, zoning in and out of podcasts, and procrastinating.
