Millennium Fellowship Project: Sustainable Events Initiative

The Sustainable Events Initiative strives to help parks and other public spaces put on more socially and environmentally sustainable events and festivals. This project aims to reduce the carbon footprint of large events and increase environmental education and awareness for attendees. I hope to continue to develop collaborative partnerships with local parks and their surrounding communities to organize more sustainable and inclusive events in the future.

About the Millennium Fellow

Haley Tam is an undergraduate student at Georgia Tech studying Mechanical Engineering with minors in Global Development and Industrial Design. She has studied abroad in Oxford, Tokyo, and Hong Kong and is always seeking out opportunities to learn about new cultures and environments. Along with her passions for traveling, she is interested in sustainable development and design. In the future, she hopes to work with her sister to combine sociology and engineering to create sustainable and equitable solutions for global challenges.
