" I am excited to be a Millennium Fellow so I can use the platform to help further SDG 13 - Climate Action. I think the climate crisis is the single greatest issue of our time, and I am excited to empower others to take action. "

Millennium Fellowship Project: Green Education Initiative

The Green Education Initiative aims to educate students on campus sustainability. By providing access to this education, students will learn about climate issues, what their school is doing to combat these problems, and how students can take action on climate solutions. The final format will include a presentation that can easily be given for incoming First-Year students during their orientation. This presentation will include a discussion of existing infrastructure for recycling and waste management on campus, steps the school has taken to show leadership in sustainability and innovation, and how students can become involved.

Goals:
Create an accurate presentation on the climate crisis, Georgia Tech leadership in sustainability, and how students can participate/create solutions
Present at least 4 times in the first semester
Create a Sustainability Fair for all students to learn about the available resources and how to further help green efforts
Attempt to present at 2020 First-Year orientation
