" I am so excited to be a Millennium Fellow and be able to take up the task of mitigating some of the effects of climate change, an issue which I believe is incredibly important and that, without action, will increasingly negatively impact people around the world. "

Millennium Fellowship Project: just BEEcause

Just BEEcause seeks to raise awareness of the plight of bees and other pollinators, as their numbers dwindle at alarming rates. The team hopes to make Georgetown University's campus a hub for bees and other pollinators by creating a pollinator-friendly garden and increasing on-campus support for sustainable farming ventures.

Measurable Goals:
*create / modify existing garden to be pollinator-friendly
*asses and advocate to change (if necessary) policies impacting pollinators on campus
*raise approximately $1,000 dollars to donate to local organization dedicated to protecting pollinators
