ABOUT THE MILLENNIUM FELLOWSHIP - CLASS OF 2019
United Nations Academic Impact and MCN are proud to partner on the Millennium Fellowship. In the three months the application was open in 2019, over 7,000 young leaders applied to join the Class of 2019 on 1,209 campuses across 135 nations. 69 campuses worldwide (just 6%) were selected to host the 805 Millennium Fellows.
During the Millennium Fellowship, Millennium Fellows' dedicated 96,705 hours and their 422 unique projects positively impacted the lives of 564,366 people worldwide.

Millennium Fellowship Project: just BEEcause
Just BEEcause seeks to raise awareness of the plight of bees and other pollinators, as their numbers dwindle at alarming rates. The team hopes to make Georgetown University's campus a hub for bees and other pollinators by creating a pollinator-friendly garden and increasing on-campus support for sustainable farming ventures.
Measurable Goals:
*create / modify existing garden to be pollinator-friendly
*asses and advocate to change (if necessary) policies impacting pollinators on campus
*raise approximately $1,000 dollars to donate to local organization dedicated to protecting pollinators
About the Millennium Fellow
Amanda Feldman is a sophomore at Georgetown University, studying International Politics, with minors in Arabic and Physics. Amanda is passionate about social justice, global issues, and the environment and would love to be able to work after graduation in a capacity that improves the lives of people around the world affected by such issues.
