" Working for people and bringing smiles on faces makes me feel contended. When I serve people, I feel I have been served. The communities where I work feel like home. The warmth and love I get from them is innarrable. I believe that we can't expect a cleaner world without letting our hands get dirty in the filth by cleaning it. And intangible and unobservable changes are always there in background when you take little steps. Every person's actions matter. "

Millennium Fellowship Project: Project NOOR

Project NOOR works for the upliftment of marginalized people through education, economic and social empowerment. Our team reaches out to two adopted slum areas to conduct regular classes with children and adults. We believe in broader meaning of education beyond literacy. So, we conduct regular workshops on fields revolving around issues like child sex abuse, domestic violence, menstrual hygiene, etc in collaboration with other not for profit organizations.
Another segment of project works with women who were earlier involved in manual scavenging. We strive to empower these women by marketing products made by them. We ensure their sustainable development by providing them exposure to markets, customers, etc.
This year we aim to impact atleast 80 families by our actions. We aspire to increase the reach of our project vertically, by putting more focus on individual needs.
