ABOUT THE MILLENNIUM FELLOWSHIP - CLASS OF 2019

United Nations Academic Impact and MCN are proud to partner on the Millennium Fellowship.  In the three months the application was open in 2019, over 7,000 young leaders applied to join the Class of 2019 on 1,209 campuses across 135 nations.  69 campuses worldwide (just 6%) were selected to host the 805 Millennium Fellows. 

During the Millennium Fellowship, Millennium Fellows' dedicated 96,705 hours and their 422 unique projects positively impacted the lives of 564,366 people worldwide.

Millennium Fellowship Project: AIRE

AIRE (Asociacion por la Integracion, Respeto y Equidad/Association for Integration, Respect and Equity): Is a student group that seeks to provide a sense of community, well-being and visibility to sexual and gender diversity both inside and outside campus.

Measurable Goals
. Reduce the discrimination and violence towards the LGBTQ+ community inside campus.
. Improve the sexual education classes for the students
. Promote an environment of equity inside campus for everyone.

About the Millennium Fellow

Gustavo O. Delgado is a first semester comunications student at Tecnologico de Monterrey, he's currently a coordinator in a student group (AIRE) that defends and represents the LGBTQ+ community, he's a regular student nothing extraordinary but nothing that awful, and quite an extrovert usually speaking his mind.
