Millennium Fellowship Project: Care for plastics
Care for Plastics is a project that seeks to educate young children in basic schools on the need to dispose off plastics properly. The problem of single use plastic pollution has become a very critical topic in Ghana that the government seeks to address. This project seeks to enlighten and teach young children in basic schools to dispose of plastics properly, how to reuse and recycle some plastic materials into artefacts such as bags, raincoats, purses and pencil cases among others. Children are the hope of our future and I believe that educating them toward having a positive impact in their communities would benefit us all someday. The popular saying that train a child the way he should go and when he grows he would not depart from it is indeed true. Children will will be and bring the change we all seek if the y get the right orientation and socialisation.
