ABOUT THE MILLENNIUM FELLOWSHIP - CLASS OF 2019

United Nations Academic Impact and MCN are proud to partner on the Millennium Fellowship.  In the three months the application was open in 2019, over 7,000 young leaders applied to join the Class of 2019 on 1,209 campuses across 135 nations.  69 campuses worldwide (just 6%) were selected to host the 805 Millennium Fellows. 

During the Millennium Fellowship, Millennium Fellows' dedicated 96,705 hours and their 422 unique projects positively impacted the lives of 564,366 people worldwide.

Millennium Fellowship Project: Inmates Educational Foundation

The project is named inmates Educational foundation and it is aimed at Inmates in the correctional facilities especially those in Lagos State Axis and it's environs, it's mission is to make sure that everyone has a right to Quality education no matter the condition you find yourself. That's why me and my team go to prison and bring to them quality Education starting from the primary level up to the secondary level, so that by the time they are done observing their sentence in the correctional facilities they won't be a nuisance to the world agiag or thinking of where to start from.
We have those in promaar level and those in the secondary level and at the end of every three months we give them test just like a normal school and after six months they do the exams of which in the course of this project we haven't incurred any failure
And for the secondary level, they are given choices to pick between been a science, art and humanities or commercial students. And at the end of every year they go for the WAEC and then they get the Senior secondary School certificate.

And for those who are not interested in reading and writing, we have plans for already for vocational trainings which includes craft work, Painting, capentery, and tailoring.

About the Millennium Fellow

Abdulazeez Adetimehin is a student Of Lagos State University Lagos Nigeria. And currently he his the assistant public relations officer of the muslim students in lagos state university and also an advocate of One Nigeria an organization that makes sure human are given there rights all over the world.
He his passionate about the rights of everyone and make sure he deals with every one based on three things: Honesty, love and the will to help solve their problems.
