ABOUT THE MILLENNIUM FELLOWSHIP - CLASS OF 2019
United Nations Academic Impact and MCN are proud to partner on the Millennium Fellowship. In the three months the application was open in 2019, over 7,000 young leaders applied to join the Class of 2019 on 1,209 campuses across 135 nations. 69 campuses worldwide (just 6%) were selected to host the 805 Millennium Fellows.
During the Millennium Fellowship, Millennium Fellows' dedicated 96,705 hours and their 422 unique projects positively impacted the lives of 564,366 people worldwide.

Millennium Fellowship Project: Step out of Equality: x/alt Foundation
The project is aimed at empowering women and to ensure that both gender have equal right to education.
In the first stage, we did a social media campaign to preach the importance of both gender.
At the second stage, we did a physical advocacy on gender equality
For the Third stage, there will be a village outreach to empower women
About the Millennium Fellow
Azeez Sukurat Olamide is a final year student of Deparment of history and International studies in Lagos state university. Sukurat served as a former welfare director of Oyo state, Nigeria student union. she is currently a member of Lagos state university model united nation (LASUMUN). she is a volunteer to Edupoint.ng, Daily achievement youth (D.A.Y) foundation, Humane Foundation. Sukurat is also an entrepreneur.
