ABOUT THE MILLENNIUM FELLOWSHIP - CLASS OF 2019
United Nations Academic Impact and MCN are proud to partner on the Millennium Fellowship. In the three months the application was open in 2019, over 7,000 young leaders applied to join the Class of 2019 on 1,209 campuses across 135 nations. 69 campuses worldwide (just 6%) were selected to host the 805 Millennium Fellows.
During the Millennium Fellowship, Millennium Fellows' dedicated 96,705 hours and their 422 unique projects positively impacted the lives of 564,366 people worldwide.

Millennium Fellowship Project: Excellent minds
The project : Excellent minds was born out of the need to educate and ameliorating academic challenges facing young people, particularly students who are not privileged to get this quality education. The initiative empowered at least 15students of Lagos State University with free academic materials to be used or the whole of the year. In furtherance of this, it will aid smooth academic performance of the students while also advancing quality education (Goal 4).
About the Millennium Fellow
Fuad Badru is a Peer educator, humanitarian and a SDGs advocator. He is a penultimate year student in the prestigious Lagos State University where he studies economics. He is a passionate volunteer that has a good record of volunteering in many renowned organisation. Fuad is keen on facing new challenges and strongly seeking to improve on innovative ideas and proffering solutions in order to create a sustainable development.
He loves networking with like minds, as such MCN is a good platform for meeting with youth leaders in order to proffer solutions to contemporary global issues.
