ABOUT THE MILLENNIUM FELLOWSHIP - CLASS OF 2019
United Nations Academic Impact and MCN are proud to partner on the Millennium Fellowship. In the three months the application was open in 2019, over 7,000 young leaders applied to join the Class of 2019 on 1,209 campuses across 135 nations. 69 campuses worldwide (just 6%) were selected to host the 805 Millennium Fellows.
During the Millennium Fellowship, Millennium Fellows' dedicated 96,705 hours and their 422 unique projects positively impacted the lives of 564,366 people worldwide.

Millennium Fellowship Project: SDGsACT LASUCOM
SDGsACT LASUCOM is an acronym for Sustainable Development Goals Awareness Campaign Tour Lagos State University College of Medicine, is a platform designed to create awareness of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) to students of Lagos State University College of Medicine.
SDGsACT LASUCOM has the VISION to help imprint SDGs into the heart of every lasucomite and the MISSION to help get at least five hundred students to sign and support SDGs. However, it is disheartening that not up to 5% of the college students have a glimpse of SDGs which is currently the make the world better movement. This is where SDGsACT LASUCOM comes in, with the ultimate aim of imprinting the goals on students heart and also raising volunteers and ambassadors for each goals for a better and sustainable world in 2030.
About the Millennium Fellow
Faweya Benny Oluwaseun is a Nigerian Medical Student of the College of Medicine; Lagos State University. He has over two years’ experience volunteering for organizations and initiatives that share his passion and goals. He is also actively involved in creating awareness and advocacy work on pressing issues in governance.
Currently, he is the Deputy Coordinator College of Medicine SDGsACT LASU (Sustainable development goals awareness campaign tour Lagos state university) a non-profit organization with the sole aim of imprinting the SDGs into the heart of every student of Lagos state university. He is saddled with the responsibility of reaching out to students to sign up for and support the SDGs in order to actualize the United Nations 2030 agenda by carrying out several projects.
He is the 2019 Assistant National Officer on Standing Committee on Sexual and Reproductive health including HIV/AIDS (SCORA) Nigeria Medical Students’ Association (NiMSA) which is a standing committee with the vision of a world in which every individual is empowered to exercise their sexual and reproductive health rights equally, free from stigma and discrimination.
He is currently a Fellow of the President Obama Young African Leaders initiative, a 2019 Kectil Colleague and Fellow of the Arts in Medicine project 2019.
