" I am excited to be a Millennium Fellow because of the opportunities for learning and growth. Being a global citizen requires awareness which is a prerequisite for action.
Most, if not all, of the social issues evident in today’s society are man-made which means that the problems and solutions are one in the same. “Be the change you wish to see” perfectly defines my purpose in life which is to help improve the lives of current and future generations through action, commitment and, the value of teamwork. "

Millennium Fellowship Project: The Red Box

The Red Box is a project that hopes to minimize the effects of socioeconomic and gender-based marginalization of women in developed and developing countries. Access to feminine care products (tampons, sanitary pads) is a major issue in many countries around the world. Through our project, women will get access to the things they need with regards to feminine care products and adequate health education. The goal is to provide at least 200 care packages to women with products that will last them at least 3 months. Furthermore, we want to educate women and men about the menstrual process as a means of eradicating the stigma attached to it.
